The Other Art Fair returns to East London’s The Truman Brewery for its 10th edition this weekend. It has a dynamic approach of interacting directly with the artists, creating a fun, lively atmosphere perfect for children. The Other Art Fair will be offering free entrance to children throughout the fair as well as a host of children’s events.
Youth educational charity, The House of Fairy Tales, founded by artist Gavin Turk and Deborah Curtis will be delivering a range of workshops including hat-making, model house-building and reporting for popular children’s newspaper The HoFT Examiner, where junior reporters will be able to write stories and take away their very own edition. They will also be holding an auction to raise funds for their 2016 children’s programme through the Matchbox Project. They’ve invited artists to each create their own matchbox artwork for a specially-curated exhibition which will be available through a silent auction all weekend.
On Sunday highlights will be shown from Encounter’s Film Festival’s 2015 Children’s Award – providing exclusive access to entertaining and thought–provoking films for children.
